The story happens before Puss met Shrek and Donkey, when he was a boasting male protagonist who looked after the innocent. A team of old pub gangsters advise him that 2 homicidal outlaws referred to as Jack and Jill have discovered an ancient power which can annihilate the humanity. Puss then sets off on a journey with his old buddy Humpty Dumpty who as well introduces him to Kitty Softpaws, a clever black cat who have an curiosity in Puss's goal.
